FlyCaddy app for iPhone and iPad
Developer: iSkyView LLC
First release : 11 Oct 2016
App size: 34.86 Mb
This is the next logical step from a printed yardage book.
The first app of its kind to show the golfer actual imagery of the hole they are playing, both images and video, captured from a drone. Traditional apps have used animation and artists rendering of the layout of the hole, along with a complex set of rarely used features. Once you use real footage, you will never go back.
FlyCaddy is remarkably simple. Play a hole, see images of your landing areas, much like an NFL player looks at film to gain an advantage.
Press a button and quickly see the yards from where you are to the center of the green.
In addition to images, FlyCaddy offers a video flyover of the entire hole and many courses add a tee box lift view as well as others to assist you playing their course.
Speed of play is important, and if you dont feel like waiting to see your area of interest come up in the video, simply move the scrubber which advances to the spot of interest. Never hit a blind shot in golf again if playing a course on the FlyCaddy platform.
The golf course can optionally add multiple caddy tips as well from multiple sources, so you will be holding the first app to begin to crowd-source how to play a hole.
Lastly, use the SkyCaddy to scope out a course you have not played before prior to arriving so you are prepared in a way never before possible.
FlyCaddy is one of a suite of marketing tools for golf courses to leverage drone imagery into enhancing their golfers experience and attract new golfers. Golf courses can access a dashboard to place ads and messages on any hole within their course on the app.
